Well, there's four hours of my life I will never get back. Could not get a code to enable cell alerts...that was just the beginning. Finally got connected to internet (2 hours) only to have the connection fail with no discernable way to get it back. This unit is not "plug and play", and the instructions are not easy to follow. Perhaps my expectations of plug and play were unrealistic, but I certainly did not expect to need an IT degree to make it work. STRONGLY recommend passing on this item.

Poorly designed app. Difficulty connecting locally, completely unable to connect with the network, and disconnected frequently during last few attempted uses. The temperature control is also terrible. Had to set the pit temp almost 40 degrees higher than the temperature registering on the Egg's mounted thermometer. And the meat probe registered drastically higher. The connections were checked multiple times take sure no user error. Reset 3 times without improvement in performance.

Worked last week...now I cant connect. I tried resetting the password, resetting the machine, reloading app. Using the online version.... nothing is working. Something is wrong. I've used this 10+ times without much issue with the device itself. But it's peripheral sensors are fragile. I've had to have them replaced after 4 uses. It's not very intuitive....so troubleshooting issues is tough. I just need it to work do I don't ruin my pork shoulder today!
