Remote control for your Big Green Egg!
Remotely manage and monitor cooking temperatures, monitor the temperature of your food, view graphs of your cooks and receive alerts when your cook is finished or when the EGG temperature is too high or low.

The EGG Genius app works with an EGG Genius WiFi Temperature Controller to:
• Control the device through your smartphone, tablet or computer to remotely manage and monitor the internal temperature of the EGG
• Monitor the temperature of your food; view graphs of your cooks
• Receive alerts when your cook is finished or when the EGG temperature is too high or low
• Quickly reach your desired cooking temperature as the blower ramps up to fan the lighted charcoal; once the desired temp is reached, the variable speed blower automatically adjusts the blower speed to optimize the set temperature.
• Automatically lowers the pit temperature to keep your food warm when the cook is complete.
• Detects the sudden temperature drop from opening the dome and turns the fan off temporarily to avoid over-stoking the fire.
• In the case of a power outage, the unit continues running at the saved set temperature and reconnects to the WiFi network automatically when power returns.
• Use up to 3 meat probes at once – additional meat probes with Y-cable can be purchased separately.

I can't share a cook anymore on any of my devices as well as issues with probes showing appropriate temperatures among other issues. I hope an update will come in the future but it has been almost a year since the last one. Everything worked great when I first got it a few years ago but it has been downhill. This is just for the app so I'll leave the hardware out of this lol

Well, there's four hours of my life I will never get back. Could not get a code to enable cell alerts...that was just the beginning. Finally got connected to internet (2 hours) only to have the connection fail with no discernable way to get it back. This unit is not "plug and play", and the instructions are not easy to follow. Perhaps my expectations of plug and play were unrealistic, but I certainly did not expect to need an IT degree to make it work. STRONGLY recommend passing on this item.

The user interface is terrible for the high price tag of the controller. The initial setup instructions are wrong. I had to Google and figure out how to port into the thing using its IP address, which would have been fine if they'd just put that in the instructions. App crashes a lot. You can't even use all the features unless you connect to it online. I'd love to talk to a developer about how to fix this UI. Just selecting your pit and meat temp is a pain. I wouldn't buy it if I were you.
