Stud Detector allows you to easily find metal framing studs, screws, and nails in walls. This simple to use application will help you hang pictures and art, as well as anything else that requires strong support. Tablets and phones are both fully supported! Be sure to read the short help section (accessed from the question mark icon) for detailed instructions on how to operate Stud Detector most effectively.

Please note that Stud Detector requires a device with a working magnetic sensor to function properly. Stud Detector will alert you if your device does not have a magnetic sensor, or if your magnetic sensor is malfunctioning and provides faulty readings.

I have an old stud detector and it can be really frustrating to use. I decided to try one of these, and this is the only one who's reviews look like real people left them. Surprisingly, it works. I've done some electrical work on this wall and I kind of know where the studs are, but I absolutely have to "nail" the locations so that I can nail some paneling to the wall. I'm pretty happy. It's confirmed my expected locations and been close to right on. Not bad for an old app for free. Pixel7.

Dude! I was starting to think they were all gimmicks. It works as long as you take your case off. Totally just saved me from a Amazon purchase. How the hell does this not have 5 stars and the most downloads. Now that I typed that I'm wondering... I guess I'll see. I keep my phone tight so I'll know if does something it shouldn't. I too thought It was garbage..I read other reviews and gave it a shot. It works pretty good in a pinch . The battery on my stud finder died, didn't have a backup, It was too late for me to run off the job and get a battery or another finder, so I installed this one. Works good, has ads, but who cares.
