Ratings and reviews

Pics on the phone make dialing easy. Big screen easy to see. Can get reminders. GPS tracking. When it works, it's the best memory phone out there. Gets a 1 because you must have the phone to troubleshoot and do updates. There is no way to do it through the app. This is an issue if you live in another town or state from the person who uses the phone. Does not stay locked in Razz mode, and it gets stuck in airplane mode often. No auto updates to fix issues. GPS rarely works.

So far the Raz phone feels like the perfect solution for my dad, who doesn't have dementia but who is long past learning how to reliably use any other phone I've tried for him, including others specifically marketed to seniors. This app isn't perfect, and should be used by someone with some amount of tech savvy, but so far it does what I've needed it to do. Simple asks would include better cues to indicate whether a new contact has been uploaded yet, and a way to hear ringtones in advance.

Have issues with the App not wanting to come up. Also issues with tracking on the phone. One of the main reasons we purchased the phone was knowing where my father with Alzheimers was. The RAZ phone didn’t do what we wanted and after repeated attempts with the company we finally loaded Google Maps and it kind of works through that but not always reliable. The idea of this phone is good, but it can be difficult for someone with Dementia to operate. Beats nothing or a more complicated phone.
