The purpose of the CheckBAC remote alcohol monitoring app is to help courts monitor alcohol consumption and GPS location of court-ordered DUI participants and family law participants. The platform consists of a mobile app for DUI participant devices and a management portal that can be accessed by court officials, probation officers, and monitoring partners. Here’s how it works:
• Each user must have an iPhone or Android phone.
• The user must have access to the Android Store to download the

CheckBAC mobile application.
• The user is provided an approved Bluetooth breathalyzer, compatible with the CheckBAC solution. The device may be purchased by the individual or provided by your business or organization.
• Enter each user’s username and password
• BAC tolerances for court-mandated probation are a zero-tolerance policy.
• Using the Management Portal (from a desktop, laptop, or mobile device), schedule automated testing intervals based on week, day, and time. You can also initiate random, on-demand tests at your discretion.
• Once prompted for a test via an SMS message, users open the CheckBAC mobile application on their phone and log in.
• The user then follows a set of simple instructions. Holding their mobile phone with the screen facing towards their face, they are prompted to blow into their breathalyzer. Simultaneously, a video window records their activity and validates their identity. The process takes only a few seconds and is complete when the status bar is filled.
• The test results are instantly streamed to the CheckBAC Management Portal, along with audio and GPS data for the location. Test failures are immediately flagged and can be pushed as SMS text messages to your mobile device – allowing you to quickly take action to ground aircrew, pull drivers, or alert probation officers.

Everyone using the CheckBAC App is under a court order to do so. They must comply with all parameters set by the court, or assigned monitoring agency.

Ratings and reviews

Trash total and completely trash. It's supposed to send an email to me with a receipt. It doesn't. Then I'll open the app, and then it sends it, which makes it look like I missed my time frame. The date and times are messed up. It says the breathalyzer needs calibration and has said it since day 1. The facilities that use this app are taking advantage of people and stealing money. The place i have mine through costs 25$ for a urine test if you miss a set time.

Does not work with the newest Samsung Galaxy S24. After a recent phone upgrade I am now forced to invest in a new phone just so I can keep using this system. They have been attempting to help with support but this is a new and very expensive problem for me. Even prior to this issue it was a constant battle with force-stopping the phone to get it to connect to the drive module. Really needs some improvements.

Worked well the first few days then started freezing up, not working at all, gets to the blow screen and switches back to the opening screen. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app over 29 times and it still isn't working properly. The courts are raising hell at me because the app THEY are requiring me to use ISNT WORKING!!
