About this app

Android by default runs fstrim every night at midnight as long as the phone is on. However, if fstrim cannot run at that time (phone is off for example), Android forces an fstrim once every three days. mFSTRIM lets you tune this value to your liking. You can have it run once every reboot, never, etc.

This project is FOSS in the sense that the source code is freely available at https://www.github.com/tytydraco/mFSTRIM. It can be compiled using Android Studio Canary at your convenience. While I offer support for the app, I cannot help you compile the app from source.

App is great, wish it had a more advanced option in settings for scheduling fstrim to run when you want it too, for example: Running once every 12hrs, or like once a day at 2pm everyday, or every other day at 7pm.... Even without it gotta say thanks to Ty the dev for sharing his awesome little apps and utilities with the rest of us.! 😁👍

I just came to know of mFSTRIM's existence but as a huge proponent of LADB and tytydraco's handiwork in general, I DL'd it to most of my devices. I haven't rebooted any of them since but experience tells me I won't be disappointed. In the event of any issues, I can rest comfortably knowing that in my decades moonlighting as a total app/software wh0re, this dev is one of the most involved & responsive I've ever encountered. Just a suggestion: manual check for the last time fstrim command was run?

Gives me a big "Woah" screen and some overlapping text about having to run ADB, whatever that is, for more permission. Needs better instruction and clarification or to handle permission issues itself.
