About this app

Using the Secure Setting "qs_tile_column", Respring can crash SystemUI by setting it to 0. This will crash SystemUI and right after, it will set it back to its original value. This method is safe, and it will abort if the device is not supported, therefore preventing any device incompatibility errors.

This is useful for applying SystemUI overlays, or just refreshing the UI cache.

I know this developer wouldn't make an app that doesn't work (or, at least, they wouldn't publish it). It doesn't seem to be working for me, and I don't know why. I gave it the secure settings permission over ADB. No changes. As much as I enjoy staring at the word "respring" on a green background, I'm pretty sure there's more to this app. I'll change the rating as soon as I can get it to work, but I'd be grateful for any help.

Ahh I made this app a long time ago. It used a bug in old Samsung versions to restart the system UI. They probably fixed it by now. Sorry :(

Doesn't appear to work. I am on system UI 3.0, and I've noticed even with manually editing this, nothing happens.

It works perfectly fine just needed to set required permission with adb and it works. Very useful. Thank you for making this.

What's new

- Added emergency recovery function (if system is not returned to normal within 1 second, it will reapply the reset function until the system is repaired (rarely required))
