About this app

Edsby Capture is a streamlined way to upload pictures and short videos into Edsby, the innovative all-in-one digital learning and data platform for K-12 schools and regions.

If you're a teacher, this app is optional; you can already capture learning evidence in the standard Edsby app. Use Edsby Capture as a fast way to get large numbers of pictures and videos into the Edsby evidence system from a busy classroom. Students can use Capture themselves, even from shared devices, if you, the teacher, allow them to.

If you’re a student or parent, download this app only if your teacher has asked you to. You’ll need a special QR code from your teacher before it will do anything.

They've made it more difficult to use. You now have to scan your child's QR code for every picture. My child had 1 assignment with multiple pages. There should be an option to add more for each post. I stead of simplifying the process, they went and made it more difficult

Sounds like you shouldn't be using Edsby Capture, which was made primarily for shared devices in classrooms. Your child's teacher should be guiding parents to use the main Edsby app for submitting learning materials. Ask him/her about this.

This app is absolutely terrible. There is no way of knowing if the pictures actually make it to the teacher and no way of proving work was actually submitted. I wish I could give this app negative stars. It should save pictures that are sent and should notify the student when the teacher receives the work. But instead students are left guessing if their assignments are actually submitted.

This app is intended primarily for use by teachers in early year classrooms who are capturing and sending a lot of information into Edsby to categorize, analyze and share later. As described in the app description. Not encouraged for student use. If your teacher suggested you use this, consider using normal Edsby for submitting work.

This app was working great before the last update. Scans the QR code very fast and took reasonable pic. Not sure what happened but the last few times I tried to use it, the flash keeps coming on and the pic is all white out. I checked the settings on cam but it did not resolved the issue.

Fixing.

What’s new

- Fixed an issue where after you scan a QR code, there might be a short pause of about one second before you can use the application to capture evidence.
- Fixed an issue where some users are experiencing difficulties with the Edsby Capture application, with displaying all the captured photos.
- Compatibility Issues: Fixed an issue for some newer Android models, such as the Samsung S24 and Pixel 9, are having difficulty downloading the Edsby Capture application.
