Many industries are located in different territories. Some of them, due to the nature of their activity or the products stored, are likely to present major technological risks. This is particularly the case for establishments covered by the European directive known as “SEVESO”, relating to the control of hazards linked to major accidents.
State services, local authorities and companies work daily to prevent industrial accidents, in particular by ensuring the development of emergency plans.
Major industrial risks remain exceptional, but they must be known to everyone, for better prevention and better organization of relief. It is also important that the residents of the facilities concerned are informed and made aware of the surrounding risks, in order to be able to recognize the signal of a possible alert and react accordingly.

The FAR app:
− Improves the risk acculturation of the population concerned
− creates a link between the operator and his direct environment,
− allows manufacturers to inform the surrounding population of their activities,
− makes it possible to warn in the event of a malfunction or security exercises thanks to push notifications,
− allows feedback from the population, in the form of reports.
