About this app

Extempore allows foreign language instructors and students to exchange video and audio assignments without having to schedule 1:1 interviews or take class time. By enabling the Extempore Parameters, Instructors ensure that the assignments students submit is extemporaneous speech and not the reading of prepared script.

You must have a current Extempore username and password to use this application.

Ratings and reviews

Unreliable. Anytime there is a high user volume (December and May) multiple parts of the product do not work and give errors that make it unusable. Work in progress does not save if it crashes on students, pages don't load, entering scores is very clicky, can't attach multiple ?s to a passage, entering question answer choices is time consuming with multiple mouse clicks required for each answer choice. Great premise, but not quite ready for anything high stakes, just for ungraded practice.

Literally gave it permission to use camera and microphone and still didn't work. Cool.

The BEST app for language assessments and oral exams. Nothing out there like it.
