Disclaimer:
1. I created the app as a hobby project. Trilby is not affiliated with Hacker News.
2. Hacker News does not provide any API to interact with their server - meaning their official API does not supoprt POST requests - AKA login, reply, upvote etc. To enable those features, Trilby uses many clever techniques behind the scene. As with anything of this nature, they are experimental and could be buggy.
3. The app does not store or collect any sensitive user information. In fact, it does not collect any data.

Trilby is made with ❤️ in Munich.

Long time user of HN app by Manuel Maly. One behavior that's annoying to me is the pull to the right on the comments view that reveals the story list view. I find myself activating that quite often without intending to. I think relying on the default go back gesture (swiping left from the right edge of the screen) would make it feel more natural. Having a button to get to comments would feel more natural than tapping on the story card.

Hi, thanks for using my app. :) I am planning to make the `slide to go back` an optional behavior in the next major release of the app. However, I can't promise any timeline.

One of the better HN apps in terms of functionality. The app starts off great when you open it, but after a few minutes of usage it becomes unusably laggy. If they fix this it has the potential to be the best HN app Edit: I've realized I can turn on open links in external browser, and the issue goes away

Hello Shaan, as replied via an email to you, I think yours is an isolated incident that requires more investigation to debug. Unfortunately, I can't do anything remotely. So far, no other users have reported the app to be laggy. I hope your issue gets resolved soon.

Great app, the text can get nice and large and it automatically set itself to dark theme, usually I have to change it manually. Only reason its not 5 stars is because I find myself accidentally swiping towards the left while scrolling down in the comments, and when I click on the link again it doesnt save my spot in the comments so I have to scroll all the way back down. If there was some way to disable that left swipe that'd be great!
