About this app

Configure your preferred DNS modes to toggle in app and toggle your Private DNS mode from your quick settings panel.

In order to change the Private DNS setting, this app requires the 'WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS' permission.

This permission can only be granted either by Shizuku or in an ADB shell.

Start Shizuku (https://shizuku.rikka.app/guide/setup/#start-shizuku), then open this app, and the permission should be granted automatically.

- ADB
Use the command:
adb shell pm grant com.flashsphere.privatednsqs android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS

This app does it's job well. However, it looses it's dns settings after the phone reboots. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra running Android 16.

It became life saver to me, in my Motorola edge 50 fusion, somehow there is no VPN option in the setting, so after adding this one I can surf the internet ads free, and securely.

Takes a good 5 to 10 minutes, and a computer and USB cable to get this enabled, but then it works indefinitely. Great quick way to turn Private DNS on and off as needed, thank you!
