Disappointing app from a good company. If you're in the same building as your Goal Zero product it works okay (not great), but of course you probably don't need it in that case. But when you actually try to use it when away from home to monitor power levels, it appears to display the same power level as when you were last home, then shows connection failed. I had someone check the actual power level and my Yeti device is working great and charging while providing pass-through power to my fridge.

I have 1 year use w 1500x. The app is something that could have been more simple gone wrong. It is an annoying process just to get connected and then you discover it really isn't even worth all of the effort. Frankly the battery saving options should have been incorporated manually into the unit. I really dont like that I have to go through a bad app to change how the battery drains. If you need to control the battery remotely perhaps it is worth the effort...? I'm not convinced it is.

I have always had issues getting my Yeti to pair (or re-paired) to the app. Takes 5-6 attempts on average. Once it is connected though it is pretty reliable, quick, and responsive. It's great to be able to monitor my battery level from my phone. I use it to back up my fridge and internet from the basement via the Home Integration Kit when we have an outage. Like right now.
