The Holy Bible, New Living Translation (NLT), is a new translation that was worked on for about ten years. It is the result of the work of more than fifty scholars in the areas of theology, translation, linguistic studies, style correction, grammar correction, typography, editing and others. It also represents a partnership between several ministries and publishers such as Tyndale Publishing, Unilit Publishing and the Luis Palau Association.

The goal of any type of Bible translation is to share with contemporary readers, as accurately as possible, the meaning and content of ancient Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts.
