About this app

P2 Pro is an ultra-small professional thermal camera with a 12μm high-performance infrared detector and a self-developed ASIC chip. Its advantages include compact size, light weight, low power consumption, and high performance. You can connect it directly to the cellphone for plug-and-play accurate measurement.
Personal consumption: household temperature measurement, water, electricity, and heating pipeline distribution and fault inspection, photo taking, peep-proofing, animal searching, etc.;
Industrial and engineering usage: PCB overhaul, pipeline inspection, equipment overhaul, heating alarm, breeding, heat map analysis, etc.

Ratings and reviews

The app definitely works, but the user interface is sloppy in several areas once you start using it. for example the color bar showing the temperature range does not rotate with the screen leading to it being upside down or sideways sometimes when you are using the advanced view. also the general configuration settings are just poorly laid out and don't have clear descriptions. So the core functionality does work, but it could definitely use in tweaking especially from someone speaking English.

Broken video recording and missing features. In a recent update, video capture no longer works. It lets you record a video, but when you look at the saved video, it is completely glitched and scrambled. This wasted hours of my time troubleshooting, because when I looked at my recordings, they were entirely glitched. I love my P2 Pro thermal camera, but this software makes it unusable. In addition to the bugs in the app, the app has no way to set a fixed thermal range.

Too many permissions, that it should never ask for. If you're going to use this, get a good firewall and root your phone to disable all of the info stealing settings. The quality is pretty poor and locks up/freezes for a second every so often, depending on how much you move. There has to be a better third party app. I returned my P2 Pro, because this app steals and is low quality.
