About Virginia's Mileage Choice Program
The Mileage Choice Program is a voluntary government-run program offering drivers of eligible vehicles an alternative way to pay highway use fees. Pay per mile driven instead of a flat annual fee at registration renewal. Drive less, pay less.
The device measures your driving distance, and the app provides a private, personal interface to view your trips, mileage, and driving scores.

Your Privacy is Protected:
Your driving scores and trip locations are completely private. They are not shared with third parties, not shared with government agencies, and do not impact your mileage payment. This data is for your eyes only.

Use the app as a personal safety tool to understand your driving patterns, or simply use it to submit your annual odometer reading—the choice is yours.

terrible app that never works. the odometer upload tells you that the connection failed or can't find your vehicle by the plate, can't find profile, tells you that play services are not installed, it clearly is. I have tried multiple other devices, on or off my WiFi, reboot, removed and reloaded, it's a roll of the dice if it ever works. the odometer compliance upload is required if you don't want to pay the full fee for having a vehicle that is more environmentally friendly, the biggest scam...

Taking picture with the app did not work as directed. It did not give the opportunity to enter odometer reading after taking picture. I had to take a picture of the odometer FIRST and save it as I would any photo. Then went to app and selected to upload picture i'd just taken. Then I could type in the odometer reading. I was also not able to see if the lights were flashing. But after a couple minutes I drove the one mile. By ten minutes after the drive, the drive was recorded in my app.

I was told by my city I could use this to pay less than the cost of the fee for road tax or w/e. All they needed was the mileage, or all they tracked was mileage. Imagine then seeing braking, acceleration, speed and cornering being tracked as well. I sent an email to complain, and was told that although those things are being tracked, they don't use that info. It always gives me severe scores for braking and cornering. Yet speed and acceleration are excellent. Flawed, to say the least.
