The Cigar Scanner App is a set of tools that helps cigar aficionados to learn about cigars, manage their cigar inventory, monitor their humidor’s conditions and share their experience with others.

1- Scan Cigar and Learn about it!
Take a picture of a cigar with your phone or tablet, and we will find it in our database of 13,000 premium cigar products. We’ll provide you with a detailed description of the cigar’s brand and manufacturer, detailed information about the cigar’s country of origin, strength, wrapper color, the tobacco blend used, Up-to-date Manufacturers US Suggested Retail Price, thousands of unbiased Aficionado’s ratings and reviews to help you choose the right cigar for you and cigar profile reflecting the most common attributes used by aficionados for that cigar

2- Keep Track of Your Smokes
Every cigar you scan or search can be stored in My Journal, Favorites, or Wish List, allowing you to clearly review your past cigar experience and categorize them. The Cigar Scanner app lets you rate and review every cigar you smoke as well as store personal private notes. You can also the record smoking time for each cigar as well as a custom price, a location, and picture.

3- Virtual Humidor - Keep track of your inventory!
Cigar scanner allow you to create and manage as many humidors as you want. It is very easy to add, edit or remove cigars from your virtual humidor(s). At any time, you will know how many cigars you have in stock, the value of those cigars as well as a report of all moves that occurred in your humidor(s).

4- Control your humidor’s Conditions Anywhere, Anytime!
Buy our Cigar Scanner Gateway and Sensor, place it in your humidor and be informed of the conditions inside your humidor(s) anywhere, anytime! Ratings and reviews

Great app for keeping track of your cigar collection, and journaling your tastings. I would give it 5 stars of the cigar places feature worked and if it hadn't wiped out all my scanned sticks when I tried logging into my neptune cigars account. I also wish there was a flavour wheel or sliding bars for tasting notes like bitterness, oiliness, chocolate, herbal, spice, toffee, nutty, woody, earthy, leather, etc. There also needs to be a feature that recommends cigars based on what I've liked.

Had about 40 cigars listed in My Journal but they seem to have been erased. I tried adding a new cigar to my journal but when I close the app and go back in the cigar I just entered had not been saved for some reason. Really like this app and would give it 5 stars when it works properly but was really bummed to see everything I had taken the time to enter over the past year just disappear.

I've enjoyed this app for a few years. I had an issue being able to manually add cigars last year, but that has since been resolved. Having used this cigar as much as I have, I would like for there to be a makeover, with one upgrade I'd highly recommend. Most cigar apps allow you to rate a cigar on a scale that is typically up to a 5 star over 5 categories (Cigar Scanner offers draw, appearance, burn, aroma and taste). It would be great to offer a scale up to 20, where the cigar rating could be on a 100pt scale similar to many cigar publications. This would also allow the user to truly distinguish between cigars ratings. I have quite a few cigars in my journal that have a rating of 4.0 or higher, but they are truly not all equal, thus yielding sorting cigars by my rating not as informative.
