Fantastic text-based adventure. The difficulty maintains its integrity as a classical rpg game. Many of the lower reviews of this game seem to be upset that they can't just beat the game. That's the point. Try, then try again. Improve your tactics and hope you don't paint yourself into a corner as you try to survive the adventure.

I love this game, been playing for a long while, I just wish that there were more modes, and that it wasn't quite as difficult to win, I've never beat a single level without a revive, and while I don't mind the fairly inexpensive prices and supporting the creator, I do think it's a little upsetting that I can't seem to beat a world/level without using a single revive and it might cause some people to give up on the game (I will never stop playing though)

UI and fight mechanics are simple and straightforward. It is easy to navigate the various tabs. Mushrooms enhance strategic gameplay. Item degradation adds complexity. However, selling to a merchant forces one to tab back to the inventory after every single sell. Quests, enemies, dungeons, and loot each seems to be pulled from a global table via RNG rather than from a tree that considers progression and their own interdependencies. This can be frustrating. Playable but not always enjoyable.

Hi Aaron, thanks for the extensive feedback! I agree that the merchant selling screen could be improved. And you're right: enemies and loot are selected randomly. Although, it takes your progression (on the path) into account.
