The VER app for the new eTarif “eezy”. With eezy you can spontaneously start your journey on the bus and train and pay directly with your smartphone. Simply check in, check out and only pay the air fare: in your city, in your region and throughout North Rhine-Westphalia.
With the cost airbag you can travel relaxed: the journey with the eezy eTarif is guaranteed to never be more expensive in the VRR area than a single ticket for adults for the same journey.
Would you rather travel with “classic” tickets? In the ticket shop you can get all VRR tickets and also many NRW tickets. You can also find the new FlexTicket in the shop. With FlexTicket you have access to discounted single tickets and bicycle tickets - by paying a basic monthly fee. Speaking of paying: You can pay for your tickets – whether “classic” or the eezy eTarif – with credit card, direct debit or PayPal.
Of course, the VER app also offers you many other functions such as:
- Connection search + departure monitor with favorite storage
- Trip alarm clock
- Info center
- Cards

THE VRR AREA
The VER app is valid for the local public transport timetable in the Rhine-Ruhr transport association. The VRR extends from the Ruhr area to the Lower Rhine, over parts of the Bergisches Land and the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital Düsseldorf.
VRR NEIGHBORS
Of course, the VER app also shows you connections to neighboring transport associations. The VRR borders in the north on the Verkehrsgemeinschaft Münsterland (VGM), in the east on the Verkehrsgemeinschaft Ruhr-Lippe (VRL), in the south on the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg (VRS) and the Aachener Verkehrsverbund (AVV) and in the west on the Netherlands.
• The app will now show you the expected capacity utilization of a train: low, medium or high. The trip details even show the expected capacity utilization for each stop. Currently, the utilization information is only available for local trains (SPNV) in the VRR. In the long term, the utilization of buses and trains should also be forecast.
