Islamic law has detailed guide on what constitute halal and haram. Muslim and Muslima can only consume food halal. There are some ingredients like pork, alcohol, or bird of prey that are haram. Every product that contains these ingredients are haram and cannot be consumed by a Muslim or Muslima. Halal meat, beef halal, and halal chicken mean that the animals are raised and slaughtered according to Islamic law. The easiest way to make sure you only consume halal food when travelling is to eat at halal restaurants, but if you live abroad it’s not possible to eat at halal restaurants every day. You have to do grocery shopping and cook for yourself.


When you use Mustakshif to scan halal, you make sure that you have halal cart, that all the consumable products on your shopping cart is halal, before you check out. Halal grocery shopping can be hard if you are new to a place or if you live in areas where food halal ingredients or halal restaurants are not common. If the product you scan is not on our list, you can submit it to us for checking. Recent updates have made this app virtually unusable. If you're not subscribed for the premium version, you're forced to sit through watching ad after ad - videos, not simple pages you can close - often multiple times just to scan one item. I understand companies need to make money, but this app is just absurd. Used to be one of the better options, but plummeted straight to the bottom.

I have never put a review on an app, but the AMOUNT OF ADS I need to see before I even scan a product is INSANE. I had to watch 4, 60 secs ad, before even scanning. After walking up and down the aisle, I finally scanned the item. AND it said I had to watch A 2 MINUTE AD to reveal the product. THIS IS NEXT LEVEL GREED. I have seen smaller apps with less ads. I know that everyone has to make a living. But NO APP should be allowed to put this many ads. A real virus would've been better than this!

The worst program i installed ever, the first screen has an Ads trap that claims a problem in your camera scanner to install a barcode scanner. Then, when you scan a product it asked me either to subscribe or to see 2 minutes ad. I selected the ad, then it pkayed 2minutes 3 times continously, Finally, the ads session paused to say that they have no information about the product. with 3 buttons of more info and alternatives. i pressed more info, then a new ads round started. i will uninstall.
