Overall it's a pretty fun and addicting game but it has some flaws. Ads are entirely optional and it's only $10 to remove them permanently which was worth it in my opinion as it was a game I played quite a bit. P2W is a pretty big issue, but you can progress pretty well as a F2P. The biggest problem is servers. As a new player, you'll join a brand new server with new players. Over time, servers die and get merged with other servers where you'll be against the whales that you can't beat.

Update: I do thoroughly enjoy the community and it's a great time killer, but after 7 months of gameplay I'm left with the feeling of owning a cheap, plastic, overpriced toy. Also, the player turnover rate is mind-blowingly high. I'm a spender, but not a big spender, and I have spent to build my character only to have many aspects nerf'd time and time again. Edit: Appears to be a classic bait and switch? will continue to play, but I'm no longer invested in the game like I have been

It's a fun game, but it's fundamentally flawed. They separate the player base into servers to make it so you aren't stuck against long term players right at the start. This is good until your server dies. After you've poured an embarrassing amount of time or money into the game, they'll merge your server with another one. Now, the problem servers were meant to fix is happening now. Going against strong players with no chance of catching up. My old servers whales cant beat f2p. I don't see a fix.
