About this app

The Tahdhib al-Ahkam application provides users with the full text of one of the four fundamental books of the Imami Shi'a, Tahdhib al-Ahkam fi Sharh al-Muqni'ah, authored by Sheikh Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Tusi (may God sanctify his secret).

This book is considered one of the most important references in jurisprudence and hadith. In it, Sheikh al-Tusi compiled the narrations of Islamic rulings, organized them, explained them, and clarified them, while pointing out the differences in jurisprudential opinions and views among scholars, making it a primary source for deductive jurisprudence.

The application provides users with the entire book, including all its numerous parts, with an elegant user interface, clear indexing, and a search feature that enables researchers to quickly access any chapter or narration they need.

📖 About the Book of Tahdhib al-Ahkam
Tahdhib al-Ahkam is the third of the four books recognized by the Imami Shi'a, which are:

1. Al-Kafi (Sheikh al-Kulayni)

2. Man La Yahduruhu al-Faqih (Sheikh al-Saduq)

3. Tahdhib al-Ahkam (Sheikh al-Tusi)

4. Al-Istibsar (Sheikh al-Tusi)

Sheikh al-Tusi wrote Tahdhib al-Ahkam as a commentary and elaboration on Al-Muqni'ah by Sheikh al-Mufid. He compiled over 13,000 narrations in various chapters of jurisprudence, arranging them according to jurisprudential topics, explaining methods for combining different narrations and identifying the authentic ones.

The book covers several chapters, including:

The Book of Purification and the Rulings of Wudu, Ghusl, and Tayammum.

The Book of Prayer: Its Times, Rulings, Recommended and Disliked Actions.

The Book of Fasting: The Month of Ramadan, Supererogatory Prayers, and Expiations.

The Book of Zakat and Khums.

The Book of Hajj and Its Rituals.

The Book of Marriage and Divorce.

The Book of Judiciary and Testimonies.

The Book of Punishments and Blood Money.

This book is distinguished by not being merely a collection of narrations, but rather an analytical jurisprudential encyclopedia that explains the texts and links them to legal evidence.
