The Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) in its initiative to support the national government’s strategic roadmap of shifting from a cash-heavy to a cash-light Philippine economy will be initiating a mobile and web-based billing application.
The project enables to streamline transactions by promoting paperless billing and online payment. Customers transacting with MCIAA will save a lot of time and experience a convenient, efficient and more secure service. Moreover, electronic and mobile payments as an option comes from the recognition that these are today’s gateway to financial inclusion. As more and more people are connected online, mobile gadgets have evolved to become the primary financial tool for daily business transactions especially during this pandemic where physical association is limited.
