About this app

Scripture Plus is a Come Follow Me study app designed to help Latter-day Saints and others get more out of their scripture study. Users can read all the scriptures in the Standard Works, with commentaries, videos, historical settings, and more, linked directly into the text. Users can also study the Church's Come, Follow Me curriculum using convenient and simple Reading Plans to complete your Doctrine and Covenants goals.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has licensed Book of Mormon Central to use the 2013 edition of the Latter-day Saint scriptures in this mobile app. The ScripturePlus study panel includes commentaries, bios of main characters, 360 tours of Church History locations, videos, images, charts, KnoWhy articles, quotations from General Authorities and reliable scholars, multiple editions of the scriptures, and more.

Many more technical features and content types are contemplated in future releases. We hope you find this app rewarding and spiritually invigorating. It facilitates pondering God’s word in a rich digital environment that builds enduring faith in Jesus Christ by making Latter-day Saint scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon, accessible, comprehensible, and defensible to the entire world. The scriptures are peerless and eternal.
The enrichment material is curated to help you seek learning out of the best books by study and by faith.

I love this app for helping me dive down deep to study my scriptures and keep on track. Largely overlaps with Church History Matters podcast. Provides invaluable context to help liken the scriptures to myself. Small areas of improvement: when I tap Read Today's Assignment, I prefer to see the list for the day, not a pop up of the readings, so I can choose where to start. Next, after I reenter the app I'd like to come back to the place in the reading where I was, not back to the day's list.

I love this concept! So nice to have so many sources right at my fingertips as I'm reading. However, in the last 5 minutes, 3 times I've gone into one of the options in the study guide, like book of mormon minute or something in the insights, and I cant get back to the scriptures. Using the arrow at the bottom of my phone or the arrow at the top of the screen in the app both close the app down. Could be because I left the screen and then came back to it? But, I need to be able to do that. 🤣

Rena, we did a new update that hopefully should resolve the back arrow button exiting the app. If you still have issues, please report the problem through the Feedback tab under the top left corner. We are a small team, so it might take a bit of time, but we try to respond and resolve any issue a user brings up. We'd love to know how to help!

I love using this app—it has tons of helpful resources and commentary, and it helps me understand the scriptures at a deeper level. I also appreciate that the scholarly insights always enhance, rather than distract from, the spiritual meaning of the text. If I could make one improvement, it would be adding the option to download content for offline use. The internet connection in my house gets pretty spotty on occasion, and then the app takes forever to load.

Amaya, so glad to hear you have enjoyed the app! We do hope to eventually add a download option for off-line content, but it will be a bit of time. We have a long list of requests from people, as it still so new, and it is always a challenge on prioritizing things because of the many requests! But it is on our list for updates.
