About this app

HOBOconnect is designed to communicate wirelessly via Bluetooth Low Energy to the HOBO® MX data loggers. You can configure and start the data logger, download the recorded data, store and analyze the data. The data can be viewed in both graphical and list formats and also exported and shared to other programs including Excel and HOBOware®.

It's been a decent app until recently. Now when I open the app, it freezes on the welcome pop up. I open the app, a menu pops up and says welcome and if I'd like to open the quick start, or don't show again, or ok. Any option I click, nothing happens. And I can click other options but it remains frozen. Closing the app and reopening hasn't fixed it.

Took me a while to figure out how to use it and still don't really understand how to collect data. It seems that the logger doesn't stream data and keep asking if it should stay connected every 5 minutes. If I'm not starring at the screen to keep it connected the logger stopped and live data is stopped.

Worse than hobo mobile. Doesn't easily allow you to configure settings before launching, and changes your previous settings when it's launched. Also doesn't have the status details page that shows the battery life, memory space, and an easy readout of the live parameters. Overall so much worse than hobo mobile
