Arcade Kong Jr. was a game released in 80's. Actually is discontinued.
You can play and remember this epoch of old games called ARCADE.

(Game Story)
A monkey papa locked up in a cage.
Junior goes to help its papa. It has to evade snapjaws and attacking birds and open the cage with 4 keys.

(A). To play press the button "Game A" or "Game B".
(B). Instructions to play:

HOW TO PLAY

(Control Button)
1. Press the button (▲) to make Junior climb to upper trunk when it is grabbing the vines at the right side of screen.
2. Press the button (►) to move Junior to the right.
3. Press the button (▼) when Junior is on the vines and it climbs down.
4. Press the button (◄) to move Junior to the left. Also pressed simultaneously when Junior is ready to jump for a key.
5. Press the jump button (●)to make junior jump away from snapjaws.And pressed to jump to grab vine.
*. “Game A” is for beginners and average players.
*. “Game B” is for the pros. In “Game B”, it requires more coordination, technique and timing.

(Points)
1. When Junior jumps down from a vine just after a passing snapjaws, score 1 point. (No points are awarded when Junior jumps while holding a vine.)
2. When Junior jumps at a fruit, it falls. If it hits a snapjaw on the upper trunk, score 3 points. If it hits a bird, score 6 points. If it hits a snapjaw on the lower trunk, score 9 points.
3. When Junior grabs a key, 10 points are scored
4. When Junior grabs 4 keys and frees its papa, 20 points are scored.

(Miss)
1. When Junior is hit by a snapjaw or a bird, score 1 miss.
2. When Junior jumps for a key and misses, or when he moves too far to the left on the upper trunk, it falls to the lower left of screen. Score 1 miss.
*. When a miss is made, Junior will appear in the upper right corner of the screen. With three misses, the game is over.

(C). Press "Score" button to see the best score.
(D). Press 'Sound' button to hear the sound of the game. By default is disabled (Font effect: Strikethrough).
(E). Press "Ads" button to see an ad. After seeing an ad you will have an additional life. Will be up to three times. Ads help fund apps like this.
(F). Press "Restart" button after seeing an ad to resume the game. This button will appear at the end of viewing an ad.
(G).Press "About" button to know about this app and get the developer's contact.

Ratings and reviews

Good copy of the classic Nintendo Game & Watch handheld. Some minor differences, no Mario sitting under caged Kong, misses aren't removed after scoring 300, unlike in the original. Once inserting a key, sometimes a snap jaw will suddenly appear right next to where Jr spawns at the bottom killing Jr. If u enjoyed the old school game, still worth a download.

A little buggy, traps that disappeared because you drop a fruit or too close to the starting position are sometimes still there. But I still enjoy the game.
