PIX4Dcatch lets you create 3D models and maps with your mobile device.

Just point and shoot to gather data, ready for accurate 3D model generation. Use it to recreate reality and measure the world around you.

To generate georeferenced 3D models, the collected images can be uploaded to PIX4Dcloud or exported to PIX4Dmatic. Both offer a 15-day trial to get started. Projects can also be freely exported, processed, and visualized in third-party photogrammetry software.

Workflow
1- Scan: walk around your site. The app automatically gathers data and gives you live feedback to make sure you capture every detail.
2- Upload or export: upload your data to PIX4Dcloud, or export to desktop software PIx4Dmatic, and process the data. Get high-quality, accurate 2D and 3D outputs.
3- Analyze and share: share your results, measure the space, and enjoy all the benefits of a detailed 3D model of your surroundings.

Ratings and reviews

Somewhat promising overall. While I don’t expect much out of smartphone app, it does its job well. However, was not able to take advantage of it. The scanning process itself was quite smooth, I took 551 pictures of my toaster, probably overkill, and the view looked very complete. In order to gain access to the processed view you have to make account. However, a bug prevented me from logging in via the app which meant I couldn't upload and process the images into a 3D model. Using a Samsung S10e.

DONT INSTALL THE APP. It looks good for the first 5 minutes and then you have to pay to do anything. They make you take a video of a random object, all this app does is take a bunch of pictures. They want you to pay for a monthly subscription before you can even see what the model would look like. Don't even waste your time, take a 5 minute nap, or meditate, or eat food, but don't waste it on this app please.

great concept and nice results but the app is finicky. I use a Samsung S21 Ultra 5G. the issue - when I scan a vehicle in an outdoor setting. the scan begins as a expected but once the app experiences an issue with texture or color, it presents a warning and will not recover. "Aim device at a surface with more texture or color". if I move to a known good position when it previously captured, the warning will not clear, nor will it resume regardless of where I point the device. I must restart.
