About this app

Qsync Pro Android is a mobile file synchronization application that allows you to access files and folders stored on your NAS using your mobile device.

[Prerequisites]
- Android 5.0 or later
- A QNAP NAS running QTS 4.3.4 or later and Qsync Central

[Important Notes]
- You now can select subfolders when adding paired folders. (Note: If a folder’s parent or child folder is already paired, this folder cannot be paired again.)
- Support for one-way sync mode.
- Qsync Android has been replaced with a new app, Qsync Pro Android.

Ratings and reviews

Extremely bad experience like no one ever tested this app before pushing to production. When pairing a folder on Android it informs me that syncing consumes power (who could have guessed...). One can only click ok and one is presented the same screen again. Confirming the settings to complete the setup process give the same warning without a way out. Therefore setting up pairing is not possible anymore... The only this this app is supposed to do doesn't work.

Every time I sync there is a problem. Nearly everytime, there is a problem around the connection. Why would you open all different connection methods at all times then round robin? If it was a single connection then it'd be much clearer and easier to the user. I spent some time fixing the connection only a week ago; then it doesn't work this time again. It is beyond frustrating and I will give up on the app for now.

This is an improvement on the original version - it does synchronise a bit, whereas the original really was of no use. However I find it is not fully reliable at syncing large libraries, it only reliably synchronises smaller libraries. It struggles with my music library, this is on a Huawei P30 Pro, so plenty of CPU grunt and ram. The music library is just over 50Gb, it got there in the end, but afterwards it did not update changes such as moving files on the NAS, even after multiple re-sync's. As I said it is better than the previous Qsync, but there is still room for improvement. Basically it is quicker and easier to turn USB debug mode on, then plug your phone into your computer and manually sync things by the old fashioned method of copying.
