About this app

Coil32 is an inductance coil calculator that allows to calculate the single-layer and multi-layer air core inductors, the ferrite toroid inductors or chokes, flat square coils on PCB etc.

The app allows calculating the needed number of turns for the desired value of inductance of a homebrew inductor or to calculate the inductance value of a fabricated inductor. I hope this app could be useful for HAMs, Audiophiles and other radio enthusiasts who need to make DIY inductors.
I need for help from native speakers to translate this app in Indonesian etc. If you can give me the help, please email me.

This app isn't very convenient to use because everything is measured in mm (metric) not that I can't convert to SAE (standard American) measurements, it's inconvenient because I have to back out of the app and do some math, then come back to calculate. I just may as well do everything with paper and pencil like I have been doing the last 40+ years. Make an option that we can switch to in order to use the SAE form of measurement without having to back out of the app.

In the "options" menu you can select the units of measurement of the sizes as inches or mills. And also select the wire diameter gauge as AWG.

The advantage of the desktop and mobile versions was the only negative point, but overall it is very efficient and I appreciate it.

They (sceptics) say Telsa Coil's ability to gain amplitude is IMPOSSIBLE, hahaha, they are right! BECAUSE they are using the wrong schematics! With the right schematics and invaluable coil calculator (like Coil32); self-gain resonant system is achievable! Have it a try!

What’s new

Added calculation for the metal detector's D-shaped search coil. Bugs fixed.
