With funding from the Environmental Protection Agency has SEGES developed an app that aims to help the farmer to identify pests in the field and learn about IPM (integrated pest management). Knowing pests is an important part of IPM.
The app works without Internet access and consists of three parts: keys for determination of pests, search on a specific pest and the eight basic principles of IPM. The key works by selecting options on and off for some selected characteristics of the offender. Thereby, it is up to the user to choose which characteristics he is most confident in. It is then possible to read more about damaging the biology and characteristics as well as browse an image.
