About this app

"A picture is worth a thousand words". A complex weather data can be conveyed easily with an image map. By observing the Cloud formations around your City, you can easily predict whether the day is going to be Hot or Rainy/Cloudy.

It is very well equipped with data caching capabilities and will never download duplicate data from the server. The downloaded weather maps will stored locally and can accessed offline.

This application fetches the weather maps directly from Indian Meteorological Department (www.imd.gov.in) and CIMSS [USA] (http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu)

FYI: I really don't have control on the missing north indian region of some map types because they are provided by USA Meteorological Department.

For example sometimes wind direction or infrared image doesn't update and sometimes a day or a couple of days of rainfall forecast doesn't update. Don't know the reason why...

The satellite image gives a direct indication of the condition at my location. It updates every time on opening the app. I like it immensely. The satellite view unfortunately does not cover fully the north most part of India where I live. Unfortunately for the past 19 days the IR map is not refreshing. I have therefore reduced the rating to 3 star.

Simple and can easily understand. The satellite map is not oriented properly to the Himalayas properly.T The wind direction shown is out of time slot. Hence to correlate both the cloud movement and wind direction needs a little bit thinking. If your met person is watching ,he will notice the wind direction shown and the cloud movements are totally in the opposite direction. This is a confusing issue for one who will think that your app is not up to the mark .you may cross check with app WIND
