GengiveINforma is an application that allows you to calculate the risk of getting sick of periodontitis.
Periodontitis is an infectious / inflammatory gum disease caused by bacterial plaque and aggravated by numerous factors, which can lead to tooth loss.
With GengiveINforma in three minutes it is possible to calculate the susceptibility of a person to periodontitis.
This application does not replace a dentist visit. An evaluation of the health of the gums conducted by a visit (with a special instrument, called a periodontal probe) and a radiographic examination is in fact the only correct way to diagnose periodontitis. However, by answering the simple questions contained in GengiveINforma you can view your putative risk expressed as a percentage.
Analyzing some parameters GingivaInforma helps to measure the predisposition to periodontitis. If an inflammation of the gums is suspected, it is important to go to a specialist dentist (periodontist) and have a visit.
GingivaINforma was developed with the help of experts from the Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology (SIdP).
