Had a hard time figuring out how to connect the app. After all the stress, all I had to do was check that all other Bluetooth devices were disconnected (this includes the car's Bluetooth feature on your radio, that was my issue). Just disconnect the other Bluetooth devices, connect the lights, and then reconnect your other devices back. Found this in a comment from another user and it saved me.

This product is just trash. The lights connect once and then never again. The music feature never worked correctly, and after less than a year of owning them the led lights no longer power on. I have power to the box unit, but no lights. Several attempts to uninstall and reconnect app remained futile. For the high price these lights were a complete disappointment. Do not buy.

All of the settings BUT music works. Music is the one functionality I bought this product for. It lasts one minute after you exit the app and does not listens anymore. It works fine if your app is currently being view on your phone but that defeats the purpose. I want it to work without micromanaging it!!! Don't buy it until you start seeing reviews that they've fixed this app. And to think this production was almost $100 for something that barely works.
