About this app
The M-Teacher App is more than taking class register and viewing students’ profile. It is a
Monitoring, Evaluation, Recording and Information Tracking system (MERIT). It empowers
Teachers and School leaders to harness data and realise the potential of every student. This
is done via KPI’s lesson objectives and learning outcomes, point in time Teacher
judgements, formative and summative assessments, and external test data or combination
of all.
The dashboard is organised across four key tabs (Subject Dashboard, Class TimeTable,
Report Cards and an iFeedback feature) that offers a quick snapshot of key information
relevant to each Teacher including their current and next lesson, their timetable, and
students’ updates. Integrated communications including SMS and Email allow teachers to
communicate directly with other teachers, parents, and students in just a few clicks.
Valuable key features include:
- A progress matrix that allows Teachers and School leadership team to quickly
compare any data in a simple visual format.
- Teachers Quality Assurance Framework matrix (QAF) that allows schools leadership
team to design bespoke Careers Professional Development Plans.
- A Subject Dashboard with six menu tabs offering information relevant to each
Teacher including their Lesson, Topic, Class Attendance, Class Assessment,
Assignment Assessment and Exams.
- A Real Time Formative Assessment of Students and Teacher performance during
teaching and learning based on Traffic Lighting system
- A Summative Assessment tool to record test and exams results.
- Everything is colour coded for quick visual appraisal (and because it looks so much
nicer than black and white).
Teachers and School leadership team can instantly see how their class or groups are
performing against their schools’ curriculum targets, spot issues and device appropriate
intervention and support plans.
The M-Teacher App is a native app downloaded onto teachers’ mobile devices and tablets.
This provides enhanced security and quicker access to information.
Please note: The M-Teacher App must be installed by your school for it to be accessible to
Teachers and ONLY works in conjunction with Sols Education Sifa School Information
Management System (SIMS).
