Grid Tool is a lightweight utility program for developers which draws a grid on top of the phone screen.
Grid Tool support floating menu draw over other apps so you can use it for UI testing, analyze other apps or use as a drawing utility for artists.

Only "Display over other apps" permissions is needed, no additional permission are required.

Grid Tool is free, lightweight (less than 5MB) and customizable.

Works well using Android 11 -- and is ad free. Needs a demo to explain what the settings are for or you can just play with it until the grid looks the way you want it. 👍👍 One last comment -- you must open the Grid Tool app first and then the app you want to use under the grid.

I'm trying to use it with a game, but when I turn it on, my screen doesn't respond to anything. Doesn't matter where I touch the screen, it doesn't recognize that I'm touching the screen. Note10+ Uninstalling.

It will help more if grid line thickness and transparency is also customizable. Current line thickness is very thin and non transparent.
