Been using and loving this app for years (and paying for crosswords to add). Had to replace my broken Pixel 7 with another, identical Pixel 7 -- and app is frozen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Restarted phone, redownloaded app, frozen. (I am a bug magnet) But finally figured it out: Reinstalled it, and deleted all data and it's back!

I love this app, but it seems that I can't import puz files inside the app. 'Add from file' opens the /system folder, and my puzzles are in /storage/emulated/0 (The user accessable path). I tried accessing "Downloads" from the hamburger menu and backing out of the folder to get to my puzzle directory but it's empty (assume its Android security sandboxing). I can open each puzzle individually from the Android file manager, but I've got thousands of puzzles and it's hard to import this way.

Just posted another update that uses a less intrusive permission. Give that a try if they don't reject it.

Update: has been working very well for months now. Older review: It worked for one day, and ever since has been completely unresponsive. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, have cleared the cache, turned my phone off and back on, and it is still not working. I paid 9.99 for this! Absurd for something to work so poorly. Update: I got a notice saying there was an update/response to my problem, but the app still doesn't work. Same issues as before. Another update: seems to work now. Recent update definitely improved it. We'll see if it lasts.

Not sure. We are 99.9% crash free and the few stack traces we get don't touch our codebase, are android sdk bugs. If anything changed in relation to this, it was just an android sdk update
