Targa Smart Mobility is the new application from Targa Telematics that is revolutionizing the concept of mobility. By leveraging data generated by connected vehicles and the dematerialization of keys, this innovative app enables mobility solutions that meet the needs of different categories of users. With just your smartphone, you can access and use public and corporate car sharing services, enhance the use of your connected car, and share your vehicles with others.
Thanks to Targa Smart Mobility, you can:
- Track and optimize your home-to-work commuting. The app is able to automatically detect when you are driving and track your routes during predefined time slots, helping you analyze your mobility habits. These data can support both users and mobility managers in identifying recurring patterns, improving route planning, and promoting more efficient and sustainable travel behaviors.
- Monitor your vehicle at any time and activate services dedicated to the protection and safety of the vehicle. Through the app, you can check the location and receive alerts related to improper use (e.g., excessive speed) or unauthorized use (e.g., exiting "safe zones"). In case of theft, you can contact the Operations Center, active 24/7 throughout Europe, and involve the Police to facilitate the recovery of the vehicle.
- Choose the most suitable company vehicle for your professional tasks. With the corporate car sharing service, you can book shared company vehicles directly from the app, without needing to rent from external providers or use your own car. Targa Smart Mobility allows you to independently choose when and what to book and guides you step by step through the rental process with simple and intuitive suggestions and instructions. The use of the app allows your Mobility or Fleet Manager to automatically monitor vehicle sharing, saving resources, reducing time, and optimizing the service.
- Rent a car for short periods through a local public car sharing service, managing door opening and closing with a single click. Through the app, you can choose between the free floating mode, which lets you rent an available car when you need it, and the station based mode, where you book a vehicle by setting the usage time and the pick-up and drop-off parking spots. This way, you have access to a car only when you need it, helping to reduce CO2 emissions and traffic congestion. The Mobility Provider can offer a service to the community by proposing the most suitable mode between free floating and station based, and easily manage administrative and accounting activities.
