Entertaining, no adds or purchases. Requires brain power. Some puzzles are a little.... counter intuitive due to the fact that the game ends when you get the pieces to where the game wants them, not necessarily where they would be a better position for your pieces. So it may take a min or so to play around and eventually make an unsatisfactory trade or movement. The point of the puzzles isn't checkmate, but to constantly pursue a check.

Fantastic app! Great functionality. I have it set to stop after each puzzle. Even when I get the puzzle correct, I can play from that position OR and this is BIG, I can go back and play a different move, play a game from that position and discover why a different candidate move would be wrong. For those new to problems, there is an easy mode. Another great freature is you have a setting for spaced repetition on problems you miss. That means they will appear now and then so you can learn them.

it is good app, simple interface good for practicing chess puzzles. I rated it 3 star because it does not allow user to go back & evaluate the previous puzzle he solved. Why this move was correct for him? why other he tried were inaccurate. In less than a second, It moved to another puzzle without providing option to view previous puzzles that's very irritating.
