The Abadía del Sacromonte is located on Mount Valparaíso, located in the Sacromonte neighborhood, a neighborhood full of magic. It is a complex made up of the Holy Caves, the 17th-18th century Abbey, the 17th-century College and the Seminary.
The Abbey gives us our cultural and religious past, helping us to understand the Granada of the Counter-Reformation.
The patio contains 28 semicircular arches and through it we can access the interior of the chapel that leads to several caves. In 1595 the relics of the disciples of the Apostle Santiago and the lead books were found inside.
The Sacromonte Abbey is full of great cultural wealth that is worth seeing. In addition, from there we can contemplate the great Alhambra, the Albayzín and the peaks of Sierra Nevada.
