About this app

The own location is got by GPS and displayed on a map - not very special. But you can share it also with other by using a messenger app. SMS and Whatsapp could directly be started from within PIA.

If you got back a shared location, you can import it within the PIA app, and it will also be displayed on the map.

By tapping on the location associated information will be displayed: directly at the location and at the information area bottom right on the map.

By tapping on the information area you got additional information, e. g. the direct distance from your own location (PIA) to the just tapped location. You can also let the app the direct line to this location display on the map - as guide to follow it.

For displayed lines the same rules apply: tapping on the line displays its length (the distance) at the information area, tapping on the information ares displays more information about this line.

The information texts of locations can be edited: by doing this, a location will become a POI (point of interest) and displayed with a different symbol. Points of interest will be retained until you delete them. This is not the case for locations (of your own or imported ones), the will be "moved" if you request an update for your own location by GPS or import new location data from the same PIA user.

You can display a list of all currently known locations by tapping on the pin symbol right in the headline. If you choose one entry of the list, the buttons for editing, displaying or deleting (in the bottom area) will be activated.

The app screenshots show some common use cases:

o Requesting the own location data

o Tap on a location: related information will be displayed

o Send location: choose one PIA contact (including its phone number)

o Preparing message: PIA data will be at start, adding own text / comment after it

o Receiving a PIA message: select all and then copy it (to the clipboard) or using "share" with PIA app as target

o Read PIA data - use this menu item when you have copied PIA message to the clipboard

o Data import: assign a PIA contact and take the data

o The shared location and its data will also be displayed on the map
