About this app

Our audio guide app will enable you to listen to audio clips in the German Emigration Center contact-free. Here's how it works:

Download the app at home. Then come to the German Emigration Center for a journey back in time – the app’s service page will tell you how, when, and how much it costs.

Once you're in the museum, activate the app. You will receive your i-CARD at the ticket desk. It will contain the name of a person who emigrated overseas. Their story will guide you through the museum. Select this person's name in the app, and off you go! Once you reach the appropriate position in each exhibition room, the app will show you audio clips and texts. You can listen to or read everything that interests you at your own pace. Please remember to bring earphones for your cell phone.
