About this app
Primary app functions:
- With our panic button (similar to a home emergency call), which works even when your phone is locked without typing a text message, you can alert someone via text message if you need help, without internet access.
- Supports the Flic button for triggering a home emergency call (https://bit.ly/2lUqg3s)
- Supports the V.ALRT emergency call button, which is worn as a pendant or bracelet. The SMS emergency call can therefore be triggered directly via the button. (Bluetooth 4 required)
- Alarm monitor: When an emergency SMS is received from the app or via V.ALRT, a S.A.R. map opens showing the location of the person seeking help.
- Geo-search via SMS, thus also possible without a mobile data network.
- Send and receive encrypted SMS messages for communicating with confidential data.
- Reply to encrypted SMS messages via a smartwatch (wearable), notification, or SMS inbox sent from another device running this app. The reply SMS will be sent encrypted.
Additional options (free for people with disabilities or those in need of care):
- If your device has the appropriate sensors, an SMS can be sent to a predefined recipient as a motion alert.
- Alert when leaving a predefined geozone
- SMS alert triggered via smartwatch when leaving the geozone (home zone)
- Geotracking allows you to record your personal routes and save them locally on your device.
- Optional access to our news page www.eu-schwerbehinderung.eu with an optional read-aloud function. We want to make it easier for all people with disabilities to access our news and information.
- Optional access to our tips & tricks library is available.
Additional features:
By registering partner devices (via QR code from the app), you can search for them. This feature is particularly helpful for people in need of assistance. But it can also be a tool for your personal expeditions and is a complement to the panic button. Registered partner devices can be searched (can be deactivated; data is only stored in the app).
Articles can be shared via "Share" on apps that support this feature (e.g., email, social networks).
If you save your articles as favorites, they will be permanently available to you, in addition to the normal offline function for daily articles, and you can read them at any time or have them read aloud to you.
