For city of Longmont, CO, let's you know what can be diverted from landfill and where to take it, vs. what needs to go in trash ("waste wizard"). Also can give you reminders about when to put your bins out for pickup. I'd love to have a city app showing where road work and road closures are going on. I signed up for email alerts, but I don't get very many -- not helpful for knowing in advance to take a different route.

Great reminder for my son on trash, recycle or compost pick up day! Update 04/03/24: City of Longmont's Waste Service missed our trash bin yesterday, even though it was out on the street along with the recycle bin. I put in a notice on-line that evening (took a while to figure out where) that it was missed. I was notified right away by email it would be picked up the next day ... and it was. I must say 1 miss out of 38 years not to bad! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This app alerts me to when I should get my trash down for collection, even when collection is delayed due to a city holiday or inclement weather. It can also alert me to special events like shredding days and when I can drop large items off at the dump for free or what can go in recycle or compost so that not everything goes in the trash
