OPM Alert is the official operating status app of the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM). This free app provides a real time look at the current operating status for Federal Government offices in the Washington, DC area.

With this app, you can:

-View the current and active status

-Sign up for optional push notifications when status changes occur

-Review the archive of previous status updates

-Get the Washington, DC area Dismissal and Closing Procedures issued by OPM

I thought I had uninstalled the app, but no, it's still there. I get 0 notifications from the app despite the recent weather-related closures and delayed starts/earlier departures, all of which which I have selected alerts for. I have to open the app to see those. And the app does not close with the back button. It's more convenient to visit the website.

It opens to yesterday's status and have to go to "status Archive" to get to today's status. There are no Notification Options under the heading. The app will not close properly when the Back button on my phone is pressed. I find it much easier and more informational to create a shortcut to the website on my home screen.

Push alert settings is just an empty blank page, so you can't configure an alert for changes in OPM status. App has no text in the menu, so you can't search for it and only see a sketchy looking pixelated icon. Basically unusable, and when you do finally find and open it it's just a copy of the webpage. Not worth it.
