🌟 FAMILY FRIENDLY APPLICATION

Would you like your child to play developmental games while being safe in the digital space? Would you like to try an interactive story with a path? In addition to development, do you also set limits for your child's digital activity (e.g. by setting a time limit)?

Alfi is an application package developed by Hungarian research psychologists, biologists and computer scientists in the Alfa Generation Laboratory of ELTE (www.alfageneracio.hu). Our goal is for children using tablets or mobile phones to encounter developmental content appropriate for their age, and for the time spent in the digital space not to be spent alone, but to strengthen family and social relationships. We also want to help parents to more easily maintain a healthy balance between the digital world and real life in their child's life.


🚀 ALFI - PLAYGROUND OF THE NEW GENERATION

- Contains games that develop children's logical, emotional, memory and spatial skills and creativity.
- Some of its games specifically encourage children to socialize and engage in offline, real-life activities.
- It offers an interactive story (title: The Secret of the Blue Door), in which the child and the parent can decide the course of the story during exciting zoo adventures, while the child can learn many interesting facts about the animals.
- Keeps "gadget use" within limits in a natural way and prevents addiction: it guides the child towards digital balance with sounds and emotional expressions, so for example, if the "screen time limit" set by the parent is reached, Alfi becomes "tired" and then "falls asleep" (the screen turns off).
- Set as a starter application, Alfi filters which applications the child can see and use. The parent can choose from the installed applications which Alfi will display. In this, researchers help parents with recommendations.


📱 TECHNICAL INFORMATION
When used as a starter app, the mobile application also helps parents support their child's use of the device with security features, such as setting time limits and restricting unwanted applications. In this regard, built-in, easy-to-follow guides help parents.

💬 RESEARCH AND FEEDBACK
Help science too! After the installation, we will ask you some questions, and we will also ask your child for feedback on the individual games and the application as a whole. These data are important to us so that we can further develop Alfi by taking the feedback into account. In addition to answering the questions, you will also help us learn more about the children's use of digital devices if you turn on the logging. It is important that even if logging is turned on, we do not have access to application usage data such as what you searched for in the browser or what you watched in certain video sharing applications. In this case, we only see which applications you used.
You can use Alfi without answering the questions and logging in, but you can help our scientific work by doing so.
