Duenna AI is an artificial intelligence (AI) based language learning application that allows you to learn your chosen language through realistic, grammatically correct, sophisticated AI-generated dialogues. The dialogues are generated by the AI based on the given conditions:
- The language of the dialogue (English, German and Italian by default, with the possibility to select other languages)
- The topic of the dialogue: this can be a general topic chosen from a list (e.g. family, work, movies, etc.) or a completely UNIQUE topic (e.g. Rubik's cube, ice skating, Harry Potter, Portuguese food, etc.). In the case of a unique topic, the AI will generate a relevant and realistic dialogue related to the topic.
- Dialogue "mood": you can choose the underlying mood of the dialogue, e.g. happy, sad, worried, playful, funny, etc.
- Finally, you can specify the names of the two characters in the dialogue from a list, or a completely custom name (e.g. your own or a friend's name). In the case of a custom name, AI will usually make the name part of the dialogue.
The dialog generated by the AI based on the given conditions. The dialogue will not only be shown as text, but a realistic, natural-sounding speech synthesizer will read the dialogue as if it were happening in real life.
An additional feature of the application is that the generated dialogue will also be displayed in the language of the language learner using machine translation. This helps beginner language learners by making the translation available.
It has been proven that reading or listening to real-life dialogues can greatly help language learning and everyday use. This is what Duenna AI does, generating dialogues about almost anything in a fun and varied way.
(The dialogue is generated in real time by a very advanced so-called large language model, an AI model that is the basis of ChatGPT. So the dialogue is never a pre-generated dialogue, but generated by the AI. However, it is possible to save the dialogue for later replay.)
