About this app

Hotlap is a new motorsports community for track day enthusiasts. It takes a more social approach to your typical GPS lap timer and data logger. You can follow your favorite drivers, build a following, easily compare and provide feedback on performances, and capture new personal bests.

Ratings and reviews

A bit difficult to navigate. Tutorial doesn't give enough information. Asks you to upload photo and avatar but doesn't allow you to do it. When you try to upload video it disappeared. Says you can share video, but again doesn't allow you to actually upload or download or share. Reported glitch and sent email to support for help, with no responses. I thought this app seemed fun, especially for a first time user on tracks. 😒

This app is fantastic. Works perfectly with my Garmin Bluetooth GPS receiver for accurate data. The interface is really convenient, and the data visualization/track map is really useful. The lap comparison tool is really great as well. I just wish the app was more widely used. Alot of tracks around me I only see several other laps, and none that would really make a good benchmark. You should sponsor some time attack people or something, get some good data in the app and a bunch of exposure.

I'm pretty new to the HDPE scene and I was recommended this app my first time. I've grown to really like it. At my skill level I don't need the level of telemetry something like the Garmin Catyst might offer, this app, even in the free version, gives me just enough insight to help me tailor my sessions and identify opportunities for improvement. I recommended it to a few new guys at the track the other day as well.
