About this game

Azahar is a free and open-source high level 3DS emulator. Our goal is to give 3DS owners a place to enjoy their library of titles with improvements to the original hardware, such as higher resolutions, modern controllers or save states. The emulator also serves as a research and preservation platform for the 3DS ecosystem.

The project continues the legacy of Citra and is actively developed by a community of contributors.

Azahar does not condone video game piracy and does not include pre-installed games. Please inform yourself about how to obtain legal private copies of your game library in accordance with local laws.

Ratings and reviews

This emulator is, by far, the best performing one I've tried. Don't blind yourself by the other reviews, they're mainly negative since this app no longer supports games that have the .3ds extension. However, you just need to go into your Roms and change their extension to .cci (manually change their name/extension) and that's it! Super easy. My only concern is that I can't figure out how to turn off the FPS counter at the top left. A response with instructions would be appreciated!

Great emulator. Considered 4 stars because the lag when loading a save state is atrocious. Any game. For some reason, save states break the emulator, and no settings tweaked have fixed it. I honestly do not miss the save state feature at this point. It is motivating me to be a better OG gamer. Grew up with NES/SNES in my home, so no stranger to the old way. Anyway, it's a great emulator. Some might be upset about the bugged save states.

Apparently, games only run properly when you delete the shader folder otherwise it just crashes and runs slowly but deleting the folder does work 👍. my biggest problem now is that you can't map gyro controls to a controller, which is very annoying since they're very important in most 3DS games and you either have to use a backbone, or awkwardly hold it in a way that moves the controller and phone together which is in no way comfortable. but it is very good and has mod support 👍
