Woodland Map
• At around 150 square miles the New Forest is an easy place to get lost in. The offline map will ensure this will never happen and with its directional heading you will know where you are going
• With a number of informative map layers to help and interpret native woodland and discover its woods this app is a woodland toolbox in your hand
• With a modern and historical map, see what is and what was. Walk in the footsteps of those before you and see how coniferous forestry and time have changed the Forest
• Using the ‘Woodland structure’ and ‘Regeneration plots’ layers, interpret native Oak and Beech woodland. Understand its structure and why it changes within a wood
• Find and see the ancient trees of the New Forest. 264 of the largest and oldest trees pinpointed on the map
• Mark or re-find that plant, animal or special place you have discovered in the Forest. You can now add geolocated nature Notes to the map
• Be guided on 11 walks through the Forest woods
