Eleven years after its launch, with more than 3,500 subscribed municipalities and 30 million Italians served, Junker presents a completely revamped version. This marks the transition from an information app to an enabling tool, allowing users to quickly, easily, and inclusively access all environmental services in their area: from urban waste management to water services.
Until now, Junker was known for recognizing any type of waste from a photo, material symbol, or barcode. With the new version, users have a constantly updated collection calendar at their fingertips, can consult maps of all waste collection points, check their Tari (waste tax) and water consumption, book home collections for everything from diapers to bulky waste, unlock access to bins connected to their account, confirm the status of their compost bin to the municipality, send photo reports of urban decay or poor service, find second-hand items via the virtual noticeboard connected to the reuse center, and much more.
The app remains free to download on all smartphones, and the information is geolocalized to allow for proper waste separation based on the regulations of the municipality in which you are located.
This new version of Junker provides users with an app that is not only more powerful, but also more responsive and intuitive to their needs.
