●To use this app, pair the BOSS KATANA Gen 3 (Version 1.06) and your Android device via Bluetooth®.
*Set up the Bluetooth connection in the Connection window displayed after the app is launched.
*Connection requires BOSS KATANA Gen 3 (Version 1.06 or later) and BOSS Bluetooth® Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor (BT-DUAL).

●BOSS TONE STUDIO for KATANA Gen 3 includes a Tone Edit function for editing amps and effects and a Tone Librarian function for organizing sounds.

●This app provides an integrated access to the BOSS TONE EXCHANGE. Support share your original Livesets and download users Livesets around the world.
*An active internet connection is required to access the Boss Tone Exchange.

Ratings and reviews

Please note that they don't know how to develop an Android app with BT connection to their amp. Disconnects after a minute. Pairing it is not reliable either. The app won't work unless you upgrade the amp firmware, so it doesn't work out of the box. When it works, it takes 25 seconds at least to connect. By far the worst app/hardware experience. Congrats. Most people end up using a laptop or they just use the panel. Regret buying the amp and will avoid this brand. This is an iOS/Mac/Win amp only

App is amazing, usb connection will help pull more people to gen 3. I don't see why they wouldn't include an option to connect this app via USB c other than to force people to buy BT - dual adapter. If third party apps can do it they can too. I think usb c connection alone would make people consider gen 3 amps over gen 2.

Continual initial connection issues and then will abruptly terminate the connection. Installed on late model Pixel and Samsung phones with same result. The developers clearly spent their time on iPhone platform development because it works great on my iPad. Highly recommend for IOS but not Android.
